UPDATE TIME
So I'm playing a bit of heavy duty Pokémon Blue right now, and I figure I'll get us an update, cool?
Cool.
So I've really only added one Pokémon to my roster so far, and that is Chukapi, the Pikachu. That's right, anagram names. Boom. In the meantime I am grinding a female Nidoran, specifically to add Nidorina and Nidoqueen to the Pokédex, not to use her in the game itself lol. I'm waiting around on my Gen 1 partner to meet up with me, so I can trade a spare Nidoran for its gender counterpart, and my Squirtle for his Charmander, then my spare caterpie for his weedle. From there I'll be off to beat the Cerulean gym. I'm also picking up the Helix fossil shortly in Mt. Moon, not that I'll be able to restore it for a while, but when I do I'll have Omastar, which will be...unique.
Praise Helix.
I've never actually raised an Omanyte before...I know, what kind of Pokémon fan am I? Well, I've just always been a bigger fan of Kabuto, and never really had anyone to trade with to get Omanyte afterward. Of course, now I'm being force to while my partner takes Kabuto. We'll exchange fossils once before training, and then once when they've evolved. I also think that kind of leads into my final team.
I don't know how accurate that is, but I'm under the assumption that it is, it seems appropriate anyway. Not that my opponent's team really has any bearing on my gameplay style, I know...that's stupid, doesn't matter, still just gonna play the team I want. Right now, that team is probably going to boil down to Omastar, Blastoise, Raichu, Pidgeot, Lapras and Rhydon. In reality, I suppose that's not a bad team though, seeing as he doesn't have any electric types, and his Venusaur's weak to Pidgeot if nothing else. The problem would probably lie in the Elite 4 actually, we'll just have to see how my team shapes up as we go.
Kind of short post today, planning on getting some pretty regular updates on my Blue play-through though, so keep an eye out!
